Sharp and their glasses-free 3D tech

We posted earlier on Toshiba's venture into glasses-free 3D tech and now it seems Sharp has also come up with their own too, rather this time for smaller screens for the mobile phone.

Sharp have recently demoed a couple prototypes for a 3.8 inch and 10.6 inch screen showing off their 3D tech without having the need to where glasses. As with any glasses-free 3D screen, the user will still be required to pretty much look straight on at the screen and from a relatively short distance as well. But seeing as these devices will tend to be either a mobile device such as a phone or tablet then this shouldn't pose a problem. Likewise with Nintendo's 3DS.

Again, these are just prototypes but we're hoping that the 'powers that be' will bring this to the masses soon.
